Title: Senior Project Engineer

Location: Cleveland, OH

Performs complex and difficult design tasks requiring the operation and application of computer aided design equipment and associated peripheral equipment.

Focus on high profile product development projects working closely with outside creative resources.
Perform complex and difficult CAD design tasks requiring extensive skill and knowledge of manufacturing processes, application techniques, and design limitations.
Provide work leadership to lower level CAD designers, reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
Maintains technical coordination between Design and Engineering staff members.
Produce prototypes using rapid prototyping equipment to ensure product function and manufacturing feasibility.
Communicate with manufacturers regarding product design and manufacturing related issues.
Identify cost reduction opportunities through value engineering.
Support Designer and Project Managers through above activities.
Complete special projects, as required, by the Manager, Product Development.
Interface with Account Manager and customer to qualify projects.
Develop conceptual designs/solutions for customer review.
On site participation for product testing and/or installations, if necessary.
Detailed record keeping of all aspects of each project.
Translate customer needs into engineering specifications.
Identify market opportunities for new products.
Manage projects to a successful completion.
