Title: Senior Feed Ingredient Merchandiser
Relocation: Yes
Location: Rolla, KS
Purchase feed ingredients for feed mills along with monitoring inventories, logistics, and customer contact.
- Purchase all feed ingredients for all feed mills.
- Coordinate and monitor truck and rail logistics for inbound ingredients.
- Negotiate rail rates for feed ingredients.
- Sell rendered products.
- Enter purchase and sales contracts in Agris or AS400.
- Understand and monitor grain accounting activities.
- Present and evaluate new ingredient opportunities and arrangements.
- Maintain and give direction to feed mill management on feed ingredients.
- Maintain and manage futures positions.
- Establish and maintain contact with grain producing customers and other ingredient salespeople.
- Monitor quarterly quotes.
- Manage overall cash feed grain and soybean meal position.
- Assists with purchasing feedstock.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics.
Qualification
- BS in Agricultural Business or Business.
- 2+ years of experience in agricultural feed.
