Location: Columbus, OH

Responsible for the effective management of all affairs of the location.  Individual is responsible for managing and overseeing overall plant operations including finance, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, materials, quality assurance/control, and human resources. Makes recommendations to improve safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

JOB OBJECTIVES

• Manage and direct department managers.
•  Evaluate and develop department managers.
• Direct resources to support production plans and schedules.
• Responsible for developing, managing and implementing capital plan expenditures.
• Conduct capacity planning
• Encourage and facilitate a continuous improvement environment.
• Identify and drive cost reduction projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Assist with process improvement.
• Provide technical expertise.
• Assist with problem solving.
• Promote teamwork.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related.
• 10 + years of progressive manufacturing experience leading to Plant Manager level.
• Experience in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience with QS9000/TS16949.
• 10 + years of experience in SMC process (Sheet Molding) preferred.
• 10 + years of experience in Compression Molding preferred.
