Title: Nurse Manager of Quality Improvement / Risk Management

Location: Southwestern, IA

Responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating Corporation-wide programs in Infection Control, Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Staff Education.

Will develop overall Infection Control plan.  Will assist Department Heads in developing protocols and variance tracking for individual departments.  Will design a coordinated Continuous Quality Improvement program for the Corporation.  Will assist Department Heads in developing strategies for Continuous Quality Improvement, bench-marking, variance tracking, and correction of quality deficiencies.  Will incorporate data obtained through the CQI process and Infection Control program to identify areas of risk for the Corporation, employees, and patients.  Will develop strategies for managing, i.e. reducing, those risks.  Will use information obtained from CQI and Risk Management processes to identify areas of educational need.  Will coordinate educational programs for the Corporation.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to abstract information.  Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills.  Must be skilled in CQI processes, OSHA requirements, Risk Management, and IC processes and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Registered Nurse with at least 3 years’ recent experience.
• Training and Experience: Prefer previous experience in Infection Control, Continuous Quality Improvement, or Risk Management.
