Title: Electro Mechanical Technician

Location: Chicago, IL
Responsible for the assembly, installation and service of high-speed, high-volume food processing machines.
Requirements:
- Responsible for the assembly of equipment working from assembly prints or specifications sheets, using standard hand tools.
- Test completed units to ensure proper functioning and adherence to specifications and is the highest of quality.
- Perform final inspections on assembled and tested equipment.
- Responsible for assembly of Peripheral equipment, testing and final inspections.
- Ability to travel to customer’s plant to service on routine calls and occasionally on more difficult service calls.
- This position will require roughly 30-35% travel.
- Submit equipment improvement suggestions to Engineering.
- Assist the Service department with troubleshooting customer issues.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent, plus knowledge of a specialized field.
- Three to five years of related experience.
- Mechanical and Electrical assembly skills (hydraulics, pneumatics, wiring, etc.)
- Capable of traveling at a moments notice to a customer’s location.
- Knowledge of assembly drawings, bills of material, data sheets and tool charts necessary.
- Must be able to use shop math and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Troubleshooting skills are preferred.
- Must have the ability to read and follow detailed assembly directions.
