I decided to write this after working as a recruiter in the home-based industry niche for several years. In my role, you see and experience so much on the back end that candidate’s never know or realize. So, I thought writing telecommuting tips from an “insider” perspective might help those of you looking to work from home.

Working from home can be very rewarding, it can allow you to have a bit more flexibility in that you have more time without the worry of a commute, the expense of meals, drycleaning, etc. And it can also allow you to be more focused on work with less interruptions during the day. But, it IS a job, just like it would be in any “brick and mortar” office. You need to be at your desk, in your office, concentrating on your responsibilities of the position.
