Title: Mechanical Design Engineer – Solidworks

The Mechanical Design Engineer will accurately complete 3D and 2D drawings in collaboration with the mechanical engineer.
- Performs moderate to complex design assignments in collaboration with mechanical engineers.
- Prepares clear complete and accurate 3-D and 2-D drawings.
- With minimal supervision, provides development models and drawings from rough sketches for new or modified designs.
- Research suggested purchased items or materials and provides information on alternatives when suggested items are unavailable.
- Investigates Engineering Changes for validity and accuracy, completes all applicable forms and paperwork to complete change packages.
- Makes final versions of proposed drawings, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, quantities, relation of one part to another or assemblies to the whole structure or product.
- Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Draws finished designs for sketches, markups.
- Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
- Makes engineering computations, write specifications, and makes adjustments to drawings or specifications.
- Ensures design documentation and fabrication output and methods are development as well as executed in a manner, which supports all company quality standards.
Education
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 2 to 5 years experience in a related field.
Specialized Knowledge
- Medical design experience and knowledge of FDA requirements.
